Computational Design
"Where art meets science"
01 Geo- Consuming : Bending
This design facade captured the concept of “blending” using Grasshopper script. Waterflow simulation
was used in the design process to determine the amplitude for concave and convex transformation of
the single surface. The utilization of Grasshopper and Ladybug stimulate the possibilities to create the
most optimal façade that prevents Solar Heat Gain Coefficient for Bangkok context. It was also cost
effective and aesthetically pleasing.

02 The Blooming flower
Blooming garden is an interactive urban installation designed to activate the public space to promote
social interaction and spark community dialogue. The prototype is made of origami lotus embedded
with mechanism control, and the blooming movement is activated by the sensor once motion is
detected. The lighting color indicates the speed of the detected object sent from the acceleration
sensor.
